Bam Of F.I. Ent.

Darron Jerome Grissett who currently goes by the name of “Bam” was born October 15, 1987 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Growing up in Lauderdale wasn’t easy for Bam and with parents having problems of their own, didn’t make things any easier. Around the age of 14, Bams parents got a divorce, leaving Bam to live with his father for alittle. Darron loved his mother, but took a liking to his dad as a child due to similarities they shared. Music was something his father was always around, it was only a matter of time until young Darron caught on.

 

 Being introduced to rap at such an early stage of Bams life would cause a major impact on his career choice. During his first years of school, Bam met former artist and best friend Leonard Daley (Newsance). They both shared the same interest in music and grew to have the same passion. Battling and having free styles every chance they got was something Darron loved and looked forward to. As times past, and Bam grew older his knowledge of music was sharper and more creative. Darron stopped free styling and started writing songs. Having no place to record at the time, Bam made the best of what he had; a computer with a built in mic. He would write songs all day record them and burn them onto a cd.

 

Leonard and Darron would then take the cd to their friends for some feed back. It wasn’t until the age of 17 that Bams music life would take a turn. Len called Bam and explained how he had met 2 producers who could work on their tracks and record them any time. These producers were Tommy and Josh. When Bam walked into Tommy’s studio, Tommy quickly saw the potential that was there. After working together for about 2 years, Tommy signed Bam to F.I. Entertainment.

 

About 4 months after signing, a “Street Value” mixtape was dropped. Selling over 1000 copies in the first 2 months and giving 6,000 away as promotion gave Bam that buzz he was long searching for. Since then, Bam has work with some of the hottest local Miami rappers, including C-Ride, Dunk Ryder’s Cool & Dre and many more; giving Bam over 350,000 myspace views and plays as well. Bam is a star in the making, an upcoming success if you will. He has fans all over the world and is featured on songs being played around the UK. “I always said this deal coming, sooner or later…either way, I’ma be here when it comes.”
