Because An MC Becomes Omnipotent to Others, is the meaning behind BAMBOO.

His 2006 Debut Mixed Tape Solo Album “Illegal Documents Vol. 1” will refresh the hip-hop game by re-introducing a perfect blend of sick lyrics and hard tracks with no boundaries. His originally composed 24-track album can’t be placed in one-style or genre of rap. For music fans it is ear candy, to beat junkies it’s addictive, and to lyrical pros it’s clearly outspoken.

BAMBOO’s first single to be released “Big Boyz” is about a lifestyle, “gotta have a big boy attitude and mentality, this means speaking like you’re the best, riding like you’re the best.” Which is why he is following the original Big Boyz footsteps of his icons OutKast, Tupac, Notorious BIG, Too Short, Slick Rick, Goodie Mob, Snoop Dogg, and Bob Marley.

BAMBOO may be a fresh new artist to the masses but for ten years he has been hustling, performing throughout Los Angeles at the hottest nightspots such as House of Blues, Spider Club, and numerous other venues both in his native city and outside California. Opening up for acts such as E-40, OutKast, Ghostface, Chingy, Lil John and the East Side Boyz, just to name a few. BAMBOO’s years as an artist gives him street creditability, and at his young age he knows enough not to let the music industry pull a wool over his eyes.

BAMBOO, aka James Dear III was born November 23, 1981 in Los Angeles, California. Raised by both his happily married parents along with his older sister, BAMBOO grew up in the streets of Slauson and Crenshaw area of Los Angeles. He started rapping at 13 and later at the age of 14 started rocking shows at the House of Blues with a group named HUX FAM, who BAMBOO is still currently apart of. The HUX FAM has 9 albums and has laced collaborating lyrics with Spider Loc from G-Unit, and Jayo Fellony, just to name a few.

BAMBOO’s label deal with LRP Entertainment is the foundation of the HUX FAM Movement. “We choose each other because we all grew up together. There is a bond that we held on to for years. Besides no one was trying to help us we had to help ourselves.”

BAMBOO’s vision is to shed light on his part in the music world. “A lot of people want to see what I have going on. I am not going to change too much in this industry only bring light to what I am doing.”

In His Own Words…”KEEP IT TRILL” meaning True to Myself…not fitting into nobody’s profile.
