Bagad Cap Caval

« Cap Caval », ancien nom du Pays Bigouden, contrée de l’extrême sud-ouest de la Cornouaille, voilà le nom quelque peu sorti des mémoires, que Denis Daniel avait retenu en 1984 pour le bagad qu’il venait de créer sur PLOMEUR.

En vingt ans d’existence le groupe a déjà une longue histoire. Dès sa création, il participe au Championnat National des Bagadou. Commence en 1994 une ascension rapide, qui le voit passer en deux ans de la 3ème à la 1ère catégorie. Depuis 1996, les sonneurs bigoudens concourent désormais parmi l’élite où ils prouvent régulièrement leur excellence par les bons classements obtenus (2002-2006 : 5 années consécutives dans le top 5).



“Cap Caval” was the former name of “Pays Bigouden”, it takes place in the far south-west of the French Cornwall. This almost forgotten name was chosen by Denis Daniel in 1984, to baptise the Bagad that he had just created in PLOMEUR.



The twenty-year-old group has a long story behind it. As early as the band’s formation, it took part in the Bagadou National Championship. Then, from 1994 it has gone from the third category to the first one. Since 1996, the Bigouden musicians have been competing among the elite, where they have frequently proved their excellence with their good places (2002-2006 : 5 years in the top 5).
