Bad Boys Inc were formed in the Spring of 1993 by successful record producer Ian Levine. Ian had been working with 'Take That' and had produced 3 hit singles for them. He decided to put his own rival boy band together and thus 'Bad Boys Inc' were formed.

Bad Boys Inc signed to A&M Records London UK on the 13th May 1993. The members were David Ross (AKA David W. Ross) Matthew Pateman (AKA Matthew James), Tony Dowding and Ally Begg. Richard Travis had been the original lead singer of the band for a short while prior to signing, but was replaced by Matthew Pateman after Richard left to pursue a solo career.

As was par of the course for boy bands in the early 90's, the band embarked on a publicity blitz and tours of under and over 18 night clubs and schools. They appeared all over the country in national press, TV, Radio and magazines and built up one of the fastest growing fan bases. The band were firm favourites with many radio stations and toured with Radio One at the start of their career. The band appeared 4 times on the world famous but now defunct TV show, Top of The Pops.

Following their first hit "Don't Talk About Love" in the UK charts the band enjoyed international success with tours in Europe and Japan. Bad Boys Inc were one of the biggest bands at the time, alongside Take That and East 17.

After the top twenty album Bad Boys Inc, and 5 top twenty singles including the top ten single "More To This World" the band spilt in 1995.

So where are they now?

After leaving the band in 1995 David moved to the USA where he lived in New York and LA. He was offered a solo pop deal a few years later, but turned this down. David has gone on to become a successful actor and screen writer, based in Los Angeles. He starred in the 2006 Sundance Film Festival breakout hit "Quinceanera", which won both the Audience Award and Grand Jury Prize. It was on general release in the UK from September 2006 but was re-titled "Echo Park LA". The film will be available for puchase on DVD early 2007. David also starred in Tim Garrick's hilarious comedy short "The Receipt", which picked up many awards and accolades including Best Comedy at the 2005 Los Angeles Short Film Festival. David is currently writing his own screenplay and is in talks with various people to get the movie to the silver screen.watch this space!

Matthew has concentrated on songwriting and performing (among various other jobs). He appeared in BBC TV Daytime Drama 'Doctors' as the lead singer of a boy band in 1999. He then went on to perform guest appearances in London's West End as the lead singer of 'Freedom' in the musical 'Boyband' at the Gielgud Theatre. Matthew was recently asked to appear on upcoming reality show 'Totally Boyband' - but is too comitted to current projects. As a solo artist he landed a deal with EMI Germany in 2002 but left the label at the end of 2005. His single was never officially released but is still currently available on itunes (Matthew James - 'Hooked Up On Your Love'). At the end of 2005 Matthew decided to create his own Electro-pop-rock band 'JEAN' with members of MADHEN productions. JEAN are currently writing and recording their debut album. The band will be performing across the UK from October 2006. Check the bands myspace profile - for gig dates, news etc

After leaving the band Ally returned to Scotland where he devoted his time to becoming a qualified football coach and fitness instructor. After Managing a small gym Ally was approached by Granada TV to become Granada Shop’s Health and Fitness advisor. Manchester United’s own TV station MUTV soon came calling and for the next five years Ally worked and lived in Manchester. During his time with MUTV he interviewed David Beckham, Sir Alex Ferguson and Roy Keane among others. Ally has also had spells with Sky Sports News, Sky News, Talksport Radio and Thomas Cook TV. In the summer of 2003 Ally suffered a horrific accident during an evening stroll with his fiancée’ Abbie. After an awkward fall he broke his right leg in two places, he spent a month in hospital and had a five hour long operation to fix an ilizarov cage to his leg. Five operations later and countless hours of physiotherapy Ally has been left with a permanent disability and faces a knee-replacement operation in years to come. Ally is slowly coming to terms with his disability and now works for Setanta Sports in Glasgow where he’s employed as the Presenter of Celtic TV.

Tony appeared in 'The Rocky Horror Show' shortly after the band split. He can currently be seen modelling and was recently featured in a TV Commercial for eBay and last seen in his underwear with Lorraine Kelly on GMTV. Over the last few years Tony Dowding has been in the studio writing and recording with his new band 'Lazlo'
