Back one out

It all officially began in November 2004, but the origin of our story goes back to two years before.
This is the story of three Italian guys, Andre, Albe and Thomas, who shared a common passion: music. Since they were almost children they started to play and to become fond of this art, spending the vast majority of their time improving their qualities and trying to join them in a more organic way. They all shared a rich musical education that goes back to their childhood and this allowed them to develop their own original style, but with solid bases in the genuine rock tradition. Andre and Thomas began developing a common musical project at school during a maths' boring lesson. After a year Andre involved his brother Albe to become the drummer of the band. So Back One Out started. It is a band hard to categorize, because their sound is very particular and does not own to only one kind of music. They follow above all the greatest Californian bands such as Lagwagon, Strung out and Ataris. Every song they create has a different sound and different influences, you never know what to expect from them. Their music is unique partly because of the voice melodies, surrounded by beautiful choruses, partly because of the distinctive basic melodies of bass and guitar and even due to a really good drummer, who can play in a very fast and precise way. Between April and May 2006 the band recorded their first CD, containing 11 songs, recorded at "West Link" studios in Italy and mastered at "West West Side Music / Deko music" in U.S.A by Alan Douches (Fall out boy, Alkaline Trio, Chemical brothers, Against me, Atreyu, H2O and many others). "Helpless" is a forty-minutes mix of powerful and melodic sounds; eleven of twenty-eight songs have been chosen to make part of this brand new album. "Helpless" is the nucleus of the actual thematic: it ranges over all human feelings fields; it's about trying to better your own situation and rising above your own emotional insecurities. As songs like "From streets to sidewalks" and "Dreadful" examine and criticize the darkest aspects of humanity, tracks such as "My voice inside" and "Melancholy Romance" urge your "sweetest size" to overcome all what you scare about. It is very hard to establish a common genre for all the songs: you can go from the melodic strings ballad of "Redemption" to the violent notes of "Monsters", but every song is linked by the freshness given to your mind. This production is the result of long and intense years of writing and arranging new melodies, a really hard work, that has completely engaged them for all this time. The debut album will be out in January in all Europe under Ammonia records, with the partnership of Nerdsound records and UKdivision records, distributed by Edel Italy.
