If we somehow miss you, however, just try commenting or messaging us a second time! Thanks again! - BackDrop BIOGRAPHY: BackDrop is a four-piece alternative pop/rock group out of Iowa City, Iowa. By combining explosive instrumentals with catchy melodies and hooks, BackDrop has created a sound that successfully connects with listeners of all kinds. In an age of which thousands of bands exist, all making music to the best of their abilities, BackDrop understands the need to not only create great songs, but to also create strong, everlasting friendships with everyone that they can. Through these relationships, BackDrop allows their music to become evermore meaningful and relatable to those that listen. With a high energy performance and the belief that nothing shows a band's musicianship better than great original songs, BackDrop has been entertaining thousands throughout the Midwest. On March 19, 2010, BackDrop released their sophomore EP, "This Is Sure To Be A Long One". The album was recorded and mastered by Chuck Macak of Electrowerks Music Production in January of 2010. By playing out often and promoting themselves to the fullest, BackDrop has become a prominent force within the Midwest music scene. With the release, continued promotion, and increased sales of their new album, it is clear that the band has no intention of slowing down anytime soon. FAQ with the BackDrop! Q. Do I know you? Who are you? Why did you add me as a friend? A. We're just a couple of hard working guys in the pop/rock band BackDrop out of Iowa City, Iowa. You probably don't know us, but we love meeting new people and making new fans! Sorry if you don't appreciate the somewhat random friend request, but we're always trying to promote our band and MySpace is a great resource. We hope you'll check out our tunes and let us know what you think! Q. When are you playing near me? Can I get into the show? How much does it cost? A. First, that is awesome that you want to come to a show, we can't explain how much we appreciate that! All of our shows are listed on our MySpace page, and we update it with new shows as soon as we get them booked. The prices, times, and addresses of the venues are all on here too, so go check it out! Q. You don't have any shows booked near me! How can I get you to play here? A. There are a million things that you can do to help make this possible! We try to get out to new cities as much as we can, but it is often hard to break into new territory. A list of local venues and local bands is the best way to get us introduced to a new city. Hook us up with information like this and we'll do everything we can! :P Q. I want to help any way I can, what should I do? A. The best thing you can do to help is spread the name to people you know. If that means buying our songs and showing them to your friends, suggesting us to friends on facebook, or commenting people on other social networking sites, it's all extremely helpful.
