Babette van Veen

Babette van Veen was born in the Dutch city Utrecht. As a teenager she went to the school of performing arts in Antwerp, Belgium.



Her first steps into the spotlights were made in the early nineties when she played the leading part in a Belgian movie about teenagers in the fifties, called "Blueberry Hill'' . After that first production a lot of others followed, she became a celebrity in the Benelux by playing in movies, soaps and theater productions.



Together with two of her best friends, she had a number one hit record wich dominated the Dutch charts for more than six weeks, more hitsingles and performances followed.



After having had two children Sebastiaan en Silvijn, she started concentrating on singing jazz standards and made her first solo album called "Winter" with the West Coast Big Band in 2005.
