AWA provides the soulful vocals that lace the Nesian sound; his distinct melodies are coupled with consciously angled lyrics, giving the listener an insight into the struggles and life of an urban Maori.



Awa has completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Management and Marketing and presents on the award winning Te Puutake Maori youth radio show along with (L.I.P.S) Locked into Pacific Sounds on Maori television.



Nesian have the ability to positively affect the future of our peoples, from birth we are dealt bad cards, we are more likely to get diabetes, more likely to commit suicide, more likely to be poorer, more likely to go to jail and the list goes on.
