Creative, fun & occasionally deep and personal are a few words that could describe the music of 19 year old up and coming artist Avery Hovey. A singer since her first words and songwriter from the age of 10, this talented artist is one to not be underestimated.
At the age of 13, Avery and family made the move to Nashville to further pursue her dreams. She immediately took up Acoustic guitar and her passion for writing increased with the new surroundings and experiences that come with growing up. At the age of 16, she won the title of Music City Rising Star in the 2007 CMA festival youth vocal competition. That same year she also performed in her first songwriters round in Nashville, TN. Throughout the years Avery has won many awards for her skilled vocal ability and heartfelt stage performance.
Avery has had the honor of performing in a variety of benefits ranging from the USO to Make-A-Wish foundation and has taken the stage at venues such as Indian Ranch in Webster, MA as well as Williamson County & Lincoln County Fairs in Tennessee. She has performed in writers rounds at The Commodore and Edgehill Studios Cafe and has appeared on local cable tv and interviewed for both local and internet radio stations.
Avery Hovey's management is currently booking duo/trio and high energy band performances across the New England region to give back to all of the fans that have supported her throughout the years. She is also working on writing for an up and coming album, the first since 2003s "So Far, So Good".
"This cd is gonna show the artist in me, a side that I have kept in a notebook for the last couple of years. It's really all about growth, i've been following my dream since the age of 7 and I have learned a lot. I am so excited for everyone to see the "woman" come out, rather than the little girl with the big voice." - Avery
