A Tijuana Trip

BIO 2009



Créé en novembre 2005 à Lyon par Pierre Guilbert, A Tijuana Trip est à la base un «One Man Band » grandement influencé par le rock indépendant américain des années 80 et 90 (Soundgarden, Hüsker Dü, Nirvana, Black Flag, Kyuss, .) et le surf rock à la Link Wray. A l’origine totalement instrumental, le style évolue entre heavy rock onirique, hardcore dissident et americana poussiéreuse, dans le but d’emmener l’auditeur vers de lointaines contrées arides bordées de houles acides pour un voyage au bout de l’infini.

The Meth Lab Exp. ( 5 titres 2006) et Everybody Needs It ( 3 titres 2007) retracent diverses ambiances à la fois liquides et desséchées, épiques et sombres, tourmentées et psychédéliques.

2009 s’annonce comme l’année du changement avec l’arrivée de Xavier « Walott »à la basse pour appuyer Pierre afin d’explorer d’autres horizons. Un troisième Ep est en cours de réalisation.



Founded in november 2005 in Lyon by Pierre Guilbert, A Tijuana Trip is originally a « one man band » highly influenced by the independant american rock of the 80’s and 90’s. (Soundgarden, Hüsker Dü, Nirvana, Black Flag, Kyuss….) and the Link Wray surf rock.

At the beginning completely instrumental, the music has evolved to a style between dreamy heavy rock, dissident hardcore and dusty americana, aiming to take the listener towards far and dry places fringed by the acid swell for a long lasting trip.

The Meth Lab Exp. (5 tracks ) and Everybody Needs It (3 tracks) recounts many different ambiences, sometimes liquid ans dry, sometimes epic and dark, sometimes troubled and psychedelic.

2009 is the year of big changes with the new comer Xavier "Wallot" on bass to support Pierre towards brand new horizons. A 3rd EP is on the way.
