Athena Masci

Athena Masci is a singer/ songwriter based in New York. Known for pop melodies and blues riffs, she is a tangled reflection of Bonnie Raitt, the Indigo Girls, Alison Krauss, and Ella Fitzgerald.

From sultry to bubbly, this strong voice will grab you.

The story begins in Chapel Hill, NC where Athena grew up singing her heart out and generally making a scene.

From chamber music to gospel, she explored many genres, incorporating musical theater into the mix as well.

The first band, Dick and Jane's Magnificent Fantasmagoria, debuted at prestigious local events.

While at Barnard College in NYC and year abroad in Hong Kong, Athena attacked songwriting and solo artistry. With strong support from friends and co-writer and producer Claude Stein, Athena started taking material out on the scene in NYC.

In 2004, Athena won honorable mention in the Billboard World Song Contest.

Athena's music appears in the film Cross the Line by Steven De Spain.
