Asterix aka Sue�o 1 (Born in San Gil Colombia) , is a Los Angeles based record producer and performer. Asterix operates Firehouse Sound Labs in Carson CA. Asterix has contributed to many projects including tracks feat Tash, Lil Scrappy, MC Eiht, Planet Asia, 2mex and Styliztik Jones. Asterix has amassed a great record in the beat battle circuit his titles include 2002 Beat Olympics Champ, 4 Time Beat Down Champ as well as the 2010 Beat knock champ. His first record appearances came as a member of hip hop group Western Union alongside rappers L.O.R.D Wu-Shu and DJ Abel He also released a 12" maxi single titled "Lookout" alongside rappers L.O.R.D, Ammo 1 and Gunnie Sanotchra under the group name Dojo Pros. Other notable production includes ,"Think About it" by L.O.R.D, a song that was later released on the "4th Disciple 1996 [2001"] compalation . In 2006 Asterix produced the tracks "Monkey Business", "Disappear" and "Gangster and Gentlemen" on Ivy Leagues's "Money, Fast Cars & Broads" release. In 2009 Asterix contributed to the Fresh Boyz "Jerk or Die compilation" producing the single "All I need is bass" for Yung Japan and co-releasing the project under the Firehouse label. The project has since been re-released under The "Shot Records" stamp. Asterix is best known for his energetic beats and monsterous drum sequences as well as his use of obsqure samples and sound effects. His versitility and unmatched work ethic has made him a hot commodity in the re-emerging Los Ageles hip hop scene. His influences are quoted as being The late Issac Hayes, Quincy Jones, Barry White, and Hip Hop Producers The Beatnuts, Ant Banks, D.I.T.C and Dr. Dre.
