Assemblent started in 2002 by Daniel (guitars), Carlos (bass), Sérgio (vocals), César (ex-drummer) and Pedro (keys and synths). In 2003, at Estúdio Zero [Portugal] the first demo

was recorded with an extremely tight budget. Only two songs were recorded

[Heartwork and Silent Cries]. Later in 2003 the official website was launched.

After some giggs on underground base events and bars around Portugal, Assemblent joined with producer Miguel Fonseca [metal icon from Thormentor and currently with Plastica/Mofo/Bizarra Locomotiva] to start the recordings of their first album beginning in the end of 2004. The recordings took place in the Red Light Studios [Portugal] where, in the spring of 2005, Assemblent teamed up with Fernando Ribeiro [Moonspell's singer] to record the track "Silent Cries". In the the end of 2005 Cesar left the band to continue his life in England and Nuno took the place behind the drumkit. "Equilibrium" was completed in 2006 after founding its last contributor, Collin Davis from Vile who mastered it in the Imperial Mastering Studios [USA].

In 2007 Nuno Cartaxo took the place of Nuno behind the drumkit and "Equilibrium" tour took place making Assemblent share the stage with bands like To Die For, Beesech, Samael and Exodus.

In 2008 Assemblent terminated contract with label Nemesis and are currently making the second album, to be recorded in December still untitled and searching for a label.

Assemblent's sound gathers varied and volatile influences, reflection of

the different personalities of its members. Even though, bands such as Carcass /

Moonspell / My Dying Bride/ Samael surface as the mainstay. The result is a Death/Thrash

Metal crossed-over with futuristic landscapes and environments.

“…Assemblent created something that deserved more exposure than A&R trash bins or the inside of a box stored in a basement or closet, never to be heard by the masses. Equilibrium is an impressive debut…”

In www.opuskulo.blogspot.com (8/10) – Portugal

In www.soundzone.blogspot.com (7/10) – Portugal
