ASLAN is power trio from southwest Oklahoma consisting of David Condren(guitar and vocals), Courtney Heath(bass and keyboards) & Raymond Chambers(drums and percussion).



ASLAN was formed in the early 90's as a means to rise above existing, stagnant forms of music. The name was taken from C.S. Lewis books, The Chronicles Of Narnia. The name given to the noble Lion who is the main focal point throughout the books. The music of ASLAN is an anything goes style of music. There are no questions asked and no boundaries to what should be the ingrediants of ASLAN music. Progressive in the purest sense of the word. In the likes of late 70's Rush, Yes, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, early 70's Genesis, and Iron Maiden (just to name a few).



Extreme technical virtuosity is a must. Within' one measure, the music of ASLAN can jump from the heaviest of metal to the smoothest of jazz. Not for the sake of doing so, the lyrics dictate the direction of the musical change. One thing that consistent in the ASLAN sound and lyrical direction is the search for harmony with God!



It is a never-ending battle to excercise the fight to push pure, heavy, uplifting, powerful, spiritual, technically challenging music. If one listener gets it, it is worth every ounce of trial and effort!



ASLAN's live performance is one of staggering heights, with a constantly rotating setlist, one is gauranteed to never get the same performance twice. The live ASLAN has been compared to a three ring circus, with the audience not knowing who to keep their focus on as the band pull off their complex arrangements live.



ASLAN has recorded a total of 9 albums, but currently only promotes and performs material from the latest 4, INFINITE FRICTION(2003) THE WAIT(2005) THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD(2006) & the latest release, A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE(2010). The response for the latest release has been incredible. The future looks bright for this power trio from southwest Oklahoma.
