art of simplicity

In an effort to play good and interesting music, balancing “simplicity” and “art”, Matthew Dakoutros and Nick Miras formed art of simplicity during 2003. Merging several styles and different kinds of music, in a metal canvas, they released the self financed demo cd “Asymmetric” during the summer of 2005. The demo received much appreciation in many magazines and webzines, and was awarded the "Demo of the month" title in Metal Hammer (GR). Tracks of the demo cd have been played in provincial radio stations, as well as in the emission "decibels" of Radio Mercure-France. Some live performances took place and in January 2007 aos released their debut album “caught in this Iless storm” (Burning Star Records). The album got much appreciation from around the world and established aos as a very promising act. Many live performances, which got great reviews, took place as to promote the material. A major line up change took place, and now art of simplicity, more dedicated than before are between recordings of their second album “When fables have a bitter taste”.
