Born in Plattsburg, New York and raised in Milwaukee, WI to Gospel singer Linda Womack and Radio personality German Womack Jr. G. Womack has music running through his veins. “I grew up around music and I’ve always loved all kinds of music.” A pianist since the age of six, German taught himself to play by ear. Mrs. Womack, the director of several different gospel choirs, found herself in need of a drummer. At the age of fourteen, German volunteered to play. “She needed a drummer so I told her that I would play for her. She bought a set of drums and I taught myself how to play.”

Throughout high school, German began to gain popularity with his musical abilities. Attending Custer High School, he played the drums in the band performing at all of the school’s basketball games. He was also the drummer for Custer's highly rated drill team. “Everybody noticed that cat at the end of the gym beating the hell out of those drums.”

After graduating, German and a few friends formed the group B.C.U. (Brothers Comin’ Up). The groups’ first underground hit “Born and Raised in the Ghetto”, which debuted in 1994 sold over 20,000 singles independently. B.C.U. performed at various local and national venues. Before breaking out on his own German, was a part of B.C.U. for over 10 years.

With his first solo venture, he was poised to take the music industry by storm. German is also a multi-talented producer who has provided music for several local and national artists. A song was leaked from his upcoming solo project; it has received a tremendous response from radio stations and night clubs. His music appeals to steppers, mature adults, and young adults respectively.

Managed by longtime friend, Tony Neal who is the CEO of The Core DJ’s, the single “Groove Wit You” was a runaway hit. Since recording the highly successful single, the song has been rendered one of the best R & B songs in the last three years. The song “Groove” has done well over 4,000 spins in the last two years with minimal promotion. His song is played by DJ’s for their Grown & Sexy sets. He is also considered by Michael Baisden as one of his B-side artist. G. Womack has shared a stage with: Frankie Beverly & Maze, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and also with the WE FUNK tour. Recently G. Womack has recorded tracks for the Whispers and is currently featured on the New Core DJ’s upcoming LP coming out in April 2007. He has worked with Pooh Bear of POOZ Entertainment (Danity Kane) and Scott Storch. Get ready world for the undeniable talent of G.Womack!
