Formed in September of 2004, Arisen achieved a great deal of success in the Cleveland music scene for five years. Founding members Joe Capka, Dan Fink, Ryan Horvath and Matt Kerschner joined together during their freshman year of high school, creating a mix of progressive and hard rock. After performing with a few vocalists during their first two years, the band added Jaime Furda in August of 2006, who helped elevate their music to new heights. The combination of her brilliant vocals with dynamic riffs, mystical keyboards and complex rhythms created a powerful sound that has been compared by listeners to nationals acts such as Nightwish, Evanescence and Paramore. Over the next several years, Arisen achieved a variety of accomplishments. They released their full-length CD "Sea of Silence" in 2007, which was played locally on radio stations and received positive reviews from listeners of all ages. The band also performed at many well-known Cleveland venues, including the late Odeon Concert Club, Peabody's Down Under and the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. They headlined the popular charity event "Shadow Woodstock" two years in a row and performed at a variety of homeday festivals throughout Ohio. But Arisen's greatest accomplishment was placing in the top 18 bands of the Live Nation High School Rock Off during all four years of high school. Year after year, they were recognized as a talented and unique group by not only their devoted fanbase, but also by members of the music industry. Although Arisen decided to stop performing once they went to college, their songs and accomplishments will always be remembered by Cleveland's music community. Thank you for visiting this page and continuing to enjoy their music!
