Ariel Bui released her debut album, Disguised As Fate, in 2008. The songs are a culmination of late night studio and bedroom recordings written and performed between the ages of 15 and 21. Prior to and following the release, Ariel performed all around Florida and received positive reviews in various publications. In 2009, Ariel graduated from Rollins College with a degree in Music. Her primary instrument was piano, and her studies mostly focused on Performance, Pedagogy, Theory, and Composition. Upon graduation, Ariel also bid farewell to her college radio career as DJ and director staff member at WPRK 91.5 FM, Winter Park, FL.
After college, Ariel moved to Taos, NM to work with Earthship Biotecture, a radically self-sustainable architecture movement. (For more, visit www.earthship.com). This huge life change inspired many new songs and musical ideas.
