Who are APY? A Poetic Yesterday are a four piece British Grunge Pop- Punk band about to release their new single "The Movie: Director's Cut".
Drawing on influences from punk, grunge and good old fashioned rock, their sound is refreshing for the ears. With thumping drum beats, memorable melodies and rocking riffs, A Poetic Yesterday are taking the North by storm. Frequenters of the O2 academy and various gig venues nationwide, APY have a growing army of fans. With Dave on drums, Rich on guitar, Ryan on bass and Gav on guitar and vocals, the chemistry is crazy and explosive between these best mates. Their first album 'A Little South Of Zero' saw them explode onto the live music scene, and the tracks have been compare to bands such as Alexisonfire, 36 Crazyfists, Killswitch Engage and many more to boot as mentioned in reviews by Kerrang, Big Cheese and Lenore They have been busy touring, creating cracking videos which are on their youtube channel- www.youtube.com/apyarmy- showing their journey through the rock world.
The single is a 2011 revamp of "The Movie", which is available on pre-release through iTunes from 23rd May 2011 for only £1.79, and will be available through all other online retailers on 18th July 2011. The official release will also be available in the form of a double disc with a DVD containing unseen gig footage, interviews and special acoustic performances. This special edition DVD will be available to everyone who purchases the single on iTunes before 25th July 2011.
Their new album 'Revolutions' has been recorded at the new label headquarters, the Banter Media studio, located in Greater Manchester, with many new singles, music videos and gigs lined up.
