April Nicole

April is a performer and songwriter with a style that's unique to the music scene. Her mellow voice touches the heart while her songs speak to the soul. She writes in a number of genres in both the secular and Christian music fields.

Nicole is no stranger to the Nashville scene. Over the past four years she has sung at several well-known writer's cafes and coffee houses in Music City, including the Bluebird Cafe.

She recorded a project containing her original songs on famed music row, backed up by top studio musicians. Just five days after the recording was complete, one of the songs was featured on a nationally syndicated top twenty countdown show. The song surprised the Country Christian music world climbing the charts in rapid fashion and staying in the top ten for six weeks. It led to her nomination by the Christian Country Music Association for New Artist of the Year and Youth Artist of the Year in 2003. She was just seventeen at the time.

She began writing songs shortly after her thirteenth birthday. Since that time she has written close to a hundred quality songs. She was honored for her song writing at the age of thirteen in the Premier Records song writing competition where she finished in second place competing among adults.

April currently attends Belmont University where she is part of the famed School of Music and a Commercial Voice Major.
