In a time where Hip-Hop appears soul-less with no accountability to the communities that created and support it, there is a need for a new sound that reconnects Hip-Hop with its roots. Although this sound cannot be defined with words, it has been discovered on the new self-titled album by Original Man.

Original Man is a Super Group consisting of P.O.W. and Apostles. The formation of this group was a natural progression due to mutual respect and a desire by all artists to work together. Their collaboration has created a sound that is entirely unique. Their live performances often combine live instrumentation and a classic DJ set-up. Original Man makes quality music with purpose. They offer an informative message in the form of a soulful sound that is a soundtrack for life's everyday struggles. This is the theme music for true hustlers of all kinds.



The artists that make-up Original Man are Umi & Scribe of P.O.W. and Megawatt and Griot of Apostles. They are all seasoned professionals on stage and in the studio, with each having over a decade of experience in the music industry. Independently they have shared the stage with Dave Chapelle, Mos Def, E40, Method Man and Redman, Styles P, Maceo Parker, Busta Rhymes, Dead Prez, and Erykah Badu just to name a few. Original Man's first release is self-titled and set to be released in April.
