Friends who live in a small town near Milan, and who share the same passion for music in autumn 2005, after playing for different bands, wich however rolled in the same circuit, touring the whole Europe during these years and sharing stages with bands like TEN FOOT POLE and FOUR SQUARE, decided to create A PLACE IN THE SUN. A "poppy fast" sound overseas, rooted in Europe for these four guys who grew up principally with the historic 90's bands, from FACE TO FACE to FOO FIGHTERS. Then after one year of rehearsal in studio to polish the songs and stimulate their creativity, in the hot summer of 2006 the guys entered in the recording studio, and after a month of pre-production they started with the shooting of their first album "LEAVING HOME" which was immediately appreciated by Graham pavey and consequently by INYA FACE/CR JAPAN. In spring 2007 they sign with the label,taking part of their rooster with bands as ALKALINE TRIO,RANDY,FRENZAL RHOMB, DUNCAN'S DIVAS and a great collaboration came out with the release of the full-length in Japan. There are also two important collaborations with Simon head ,singer of Canadian band FOUR SQUARE and tour manager of SUM 41 from 1999 to 2001, who sang in the album, and Matt Fuzzo, bass player of Californian band BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME, who made two remixes of their songs. Following the release, the guys started an European tour, principally in Belgium and Luxemburg, for the promotion,meanwhile they got in touch with Max Cantù from BAGANA RECORDS -EDEL/SONY. The guys sign with the label and the album will be released in Italy and Europe from 8th May 2009.After the good success of "Leaving home" with rewiews on magazine with the singles of "Happy" and "Moves and movies" in radio, and the video of the last one in rotation in national tv channels as ALL MUSIC, MUSIC BOX, and the massive live activities during these years, in April 2010 they take part with Simon Head (Four Square) at 2 gigs of the european tour of SUM 41 as support act to promote the release of the albums of both bands in Germany set on 28 May 2010.
Nuovo progetto per questi quattro ragazzi che vivono in una piccola cittadina vicina a Milano. Nell'autunno del 2005,dopo aver suonato in differenti bands,già relativamente note nella scena italiana e non,ed essere stati in tour in Europa durante questi anni ,condividendo palchi con band del calibro di TEN FOOT POLE e FOUR SQUARE,decidono di creare gli A PLACE IN THE SUN. Un "poppy fast" sound d'oltreoceano radicato in Europa, per questi ragazzi cresciuti con alcune delle più grandi band degli anni '90 dai FACE TO FACE ai FOO FIGHTERS. Dopo un anno di lavoro in sala prove,nell'estate del 2006,entrano in studio e dopo un mese di pre-produzione,cominciano le prime riprese del loro album d'esordio "LEAVING HOME" che è subito stato apprezzato da Graham Pavey e conseguentemente da INYA FACE/CR JAPAN. Nella primavera del 2007 firmano con la label prendendo parte ad un rooster che vede nomi quali ALKALINE TRIO,RANDY,FRENZAL RHOMB,DUNCAN'S DIVAS e una grande collaborazione ebbe inizio con l'uscita dell'album in Giappone. Sono presenti delle importanti collaborazioni come Simon Head cantante della band canadese FOUR SQUARE e tour manager dei SUM 41 dal 1999 al 2001,che canta in "The one she's after" e Matt Fuzzo,bassista della band californiana BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME che ha fatto due remix dei pezzi. Conseguentemente all'uscita dell'album i ragazzi partono per un tour europeo,principalmente in Belgio e Lussemburgo per la promozione. Intanto appena tornati in Italia si mettono in contatto con Max Cantù boss di BAGANA RECORDS – SONY/EDEL, che apprezza da subito il loro sound, firmano con la label e l'uscita dell'album sarà prevista in Italia / Europa l' 8 Maggio 2009,riscuotendo un buon successo con recensioni sui vari giornali del settore e non solo,il passaggio dei singoli "Happy" e "Moves and movies"in radio e con il video di quest'ultimo in rotazione sulle emittenti televisive nazionali quali ALL MUSIC, MUSIC BOX.e molti altri canali satellitari.Dopo una notevole attività live durante questi anni nell'Aprile 2010 partono(Feat. Simon Head - Four Square) come band di supporto ai SUM 41 in ben 2 date dell loro tour europeo per promuovere l'uscita del disco in Germania prevista per il 28 MAggio 2010.
