to pop culture.

In 2002 Bangkok Love Story hit the store. The album's 2nd single "Kampang" got the band into media attention. For those who know Apartmentkhunpa well, they should already recognized that "Kampang" is the song that described the concept of the band's sound and working philosophy which they believed to have no musical boundaries. Later on, this song was awarded for "Song of the year" by Fat Radio in 2003.

"Your First Kiss EP" followed up a year later. Apartmentkhunpa decided not to come up with the new album that year but instead tried to collect the left-over ideas from the making of Bangkok Love Story, then squeezed them, mashed them, and digested them, after that they got a 45-minute-long EP that included the hits like, Rock n Roll (we play), Ruang Tammada and Duay Namlai.

In the year 2005 Apartmentkhunpa was assigned to write a song for a documentary called "Sue Rong Hai" which literally means "Crying Tiger." The song unfortunately never made it into the original sound track of the film but nevertheless become the band's single that also define the new direction of Apartment's sound which can now be simply described in three words "Rock And Roll"

Apartmentkhunpa second full-length album named "Romantic Comedy" and was released in November 2006. The success of this one get the band to go on tour to spread their music since "Romantic Comdedy" had been receiving very good response from the audience as well as the critics. Fat Radio awarded Apartmentkhunpa for Best group and Album of the year. Kom Chud Leuk newspaper awarded apartmentkhunpa for Best Group Artist. Music Express magazine also gave them 2 awards for Song of the year and Album of the year.

In September 2008 the third album "Somros Lae Para" is released, this one may surprise lots of people because of the change in the band's sound. To be precise, this new album is well recorded/mixed/mastered and sounds clean-cut plus lots of collaborations with guests such as Burin from Groove Riders, Yarinda Boonnag, and many more. Even though this album may seem softer and simpler musically , but lyrically , it's still heavy as usual. Somros lae Para talks about everything from life and death to love story to politics to rock n roll lifestyle.

"Somros Lae Para" is available now nationwide, go get one copy now.
