My name is Anne Husick. I'm a multi-instrumental singer/vocal arranger/songwriter/co-writer/band leader/band member/hired gun. I play guitar (rhythm/lead, acoustic/electric), bass, and percussion.
I love to mess around on my trusty Korg-D12. I call this solo project Annetennagogo. You can hear some demos up on this page. A couple of these songs have been in movies by writer/director Norman England.
For the past 11 years, I've been playing guitar, percussion, harmonica, and singing backing vocals in the Ronnie Spector band - www.ronniespector.com. Through this association, I've had the privilege of singing with Joey Ramone, Jesse Malin, Bruce Springsteen, Darlene Love, and Leslie Gore.
I appeared with Ronnie on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in December '09.
We'll also be on PBS starting in December '10 with a cavalcade of oldies stars.
I'm on several tracks on Ronnie's latest cd, Last Of The Rock Stars (Bad Girl Records), along with Keith Richards.
I write songs with Peter Ulrich (Dead Can Dance) and Trebor Lloyd (CEO and President of City Canyons Records). Peter will be releasing a cd in the fall of 2010.
I played guitar, sang backing vox, and wrote many songs with Jen Elliott for Jen Elliott and Bluestruck (City Canyons Records), Jen-n-Anne Acoustic and NinetyFive.
I released an EP, International Sweetheart - under the moniker Shameless - on Rainbow Quartz Records.
I sang with Wilson Pickett, making appearances at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, on the David Letterman Show, and in the movie Only The Strong Survive (including the soundtrack cd).
I played bass in the off'Bway and Chicago productions of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
I played guitar with New York no-wave noise darlings Band Of Susans, recording several albums and touring extensively in Europe and the United States.
I've also toured with Lida Husik, Deni Bonet, Demolition String Band, the Kowalskis, Siberia and as a solo artist.
I played in many local bands including Bart Fox, Joe Bendik and the Heathens, Lenny Molotov and the Illuminoids, The Big Picture, Bill Popp and the Tapes, and Ground Control.
I ran sound and booked talent at Sidewalk Cafe (NYC) for a couple of years.
I teach guitar, bass, and voice lessons at the NYC Guitar School.
