Biog:



Anna Karina formed in the long hard winter of 1932 in the mists of the American depression. As is well documented, the effect of the depression on the Post-Hardcore scene was felt heavily on both sides of the Atlantic. In light of this, the five members of Karina decided the best course of action would be to seal themselves in Tupperware until the time was right for them to rise again.

Fast forward to 2004 and Karina were awoken again to fulfil their destiny. Having been vacuum packed for 72 years the boys were understandably restless and aching to do some living. After 7 months in Vegas, card counting with 80's Rock legends ‘White Lion’, the boys felt they’d let off enough steam (and won enough money) to get going with the band again.

Unfortunately they were met with another obstacle straight away. This came in the form of their bassist joining the foreign legion (this happened when a drunken Jackie filled in the application under the pretence that it was in fact a mobile phone contract).

However after a turbulent search, a new member stepped into picture, a dashing young man by the name of Jonny ‘Swinger’. After a lengthy spell in a secret society with six other members, Jonny felt that he was out growing the tree house dwelling/solving mysteries scene and decided it was time to move to some more rock based pastures.
