Angelo Passarella (Angie) Guitarist Composer



Born in Bologna on 1-2-1972.



Angie began to play guitar when he was 11 years old. After a variety of musical experiences, he joined the band Clessidra as their guitarist. Produced by “Pressing BMG” the band released the albums “Sistema Solare” in 1997 and “Combinazioni” in 1998.

With Clessidra Angie participated in Lucio Dalla’s “Canzoni” tour.

In 1999 he recorded the guitars on the songs “La” and “What a beatiful day” on the album “Ciao” by Lucio Dalla (Pressing BMG).

In the spring/summer of 1999 Angie played on Paola Turci’s summer tour.

In 2000 he recorded the guitars on the songs “Chamaleon”, “Upside Down” and Asile’s Word” by Elisa, on the album “Asile’s Word” (2000 Sugar-Universal).

In 2001 Angie composed the song “Echo” for the AA-VV “The chill out experience” compilation in the “Cafee Prive” collection (2001 Halidon).

In 2002 he recorded the guitars on the song “Oceano” which Lisa performed at the “Big del Festival di Sanremo 2003”.

In the same year, Angie collaborated on the production of a young American artist, Alana Grace.

2003 was also the start of Angie’s collaboration with MusicAcademy2000 the only Italian branch of the Los Angeles Music Academy part of the English Middlesex University where he is still a teacher today.

In the same year he recorded the guitars for the US version of “Oceano” performed by the American artist Josh Groban on the album “Closer” (2003 Warner Music USA) with over 6 million copies sold in the USA.

In 2004 Angie recorded the guitars on “Dell’amore non si sa” by Andrea Bocelli on the album “Andrea” (2004 Sugar Universal).

In 2005 he created the music for the advertisement for Confimp management, and in the same year his song “Exodo” was included on the AA-V “La Isla Blanca” Compilation (2005 Halidon).

In 2005 the New Zealand artist Hayley Westenra, who performed the song “May it be” on the soundtrack of The Lord of the Rings, released the album “Odyssey”, on which Angie played the guitars for ”Oceano” U.K. version (2005 Decca-Universal).

In February of 2006 Angie was contacted by Rai Radio1 for his song “Underworld”, which was aired and voted on by the public.

Again in 2006 Angie recorded the guitars on Luisa Cottifolgi’s (lead singer of Quintorigo) solo album Lu “Rumi” (2006 Forrest Hill Records).

In 2006 his song “Exodo” was transmitted by Radio Monte Carlo 2 (Rmc NetWork) from May to November by DJ Marco Fullone.

In 2007 Angie composed the music for 13 episodes of a television program about “About Business”.

Currently, some international radio stations like LastFm (UK) and .CyberWorldcafe Channel (FR) and Radio Monte Carlo Network program and include some of Angie’s songs on their play lists.

In addition, Angie is promoting his album “A Moment Beyond”, which includes acoustic, instrumental songs with Electronic and New Age atmospheres.

After listening to Angie’s CD, the founder of Windham Hill Records (USA) William Ackerman (winner of a Grammy Award in 2004 for best New Age album) expressed great appreciation of Angie’s high level of composition and style.

Inizia a suonare la chitarra all’età di 11 anni. Dopo varie esperienze musicali

entra nella band Clessidra come chitarrista, prodotti dalla “Pressing BMG”

Nella primavera/estate del 1999 suona nel tour estivo di Paola Turci.

Nell’anno 2001 compone il brano “Echo” nella compilation AA-VV “The chill out

Nel 2002 incide le chitarre del brano “Oceano” con il quale la cantante Lisa si presenta nei “Big Del Festival di Sanremo 2003”

Sempre nello stesso anno collabora alla produzione della giovane artista americana

Alana Grace.

Il 2003 è anche l’inizio della collaborazione con la MusicAcademy2000 unica filiale

della Los Angels Music Academy in Italia distaccamento della Middle Sex University Inglese dove in questo momento è docente.



Nello stesso anno incide le chitarre per la verione USA di “Oceano” cantata dall’artista americano Josh Groban nell’album “Closer” (2003 Warner Music USA) oltre 6 milioni di copie vendute in USA.



Nel 2004 incide le chitarre nel brano “Dell’amore non si sa” di Andrea

Bocelli nell’album “Andrea” (2004 Sugar Universal)



Nel 2005 crea la musica per lo spot pubbliciatrio della Confimp gestione manageriale,

nello stesso anno il suo brano dal titolo “Exodo” entra nella Compilation AA-VV

Nel 2005 viene pubblicato l’abum “Odyssey” dell’artista Neo zelandese Hayley

Westenra che ha interpretato il brano “May it be” nella colonna sonora del film (il signore degli anelli )Lord of the Ring, nel suo album “Odyssey”, Angie suona chitarre del brano ”Oceano” versione UK.(2005 Decca-Universal).

Nel Febbraio 2006 viene contattato da RaiRadio1 per il suo brano “Underworld”

che viene trasmesso e votato dal pubblico.

Sempre nel 2006 incide le chitarre nell’album solista di Luisa Cottifolgi (cantante dei Quintorigo) Lu “Rumi” (2006 Forrest Hill Records)

Nel 2006 il suo brano “Exodo” viene trasmesso da Radio Monte Carlo (Rmc NetWork) da Maggio a Novembre nella trasmissione del DJ Marco Fullone.

Nel 2007 compone la musica per 13 puntate di un format televisivo che parla

di Iprenditoria.

In questo momento alcune radio internazionali LastFm (UK) e .CyberWorldcafe Channel (FR) e Radio Monte Carlo Network programmano ed hanno nella play list

alcuni suoi brani.

Ne frattempo sta promuovendo un suo album dal titolo “A Moment Beyond” dove

ci sono brani strumentali acustici con atmosfere Elettronica e New age, ora in distribuzione su itunes, Emusic, Napster, e altri distrubutori on-line digital



Il fondatore dellaWindham Hill Records (USA) William Akerman (vincitore Grammy Award 2006 come miglior album New Age) dopo avere ascolatato il cd ha apprezzato molto il livello di composizione e di stile.



Nella estate 2007 partecipa al Tour di ELISA Soundtrack 2 parte.



In questo momento collabora come produttore/autore di musiche per il Gruppo SitCom: “Alice” “Nuvolari” “Marco Polo” “Leonardo” canali Tv di SKY .
