Soundcheck and first take of our CD recording Lotz Of Music in Havana, Blues For Yemayá at the ICAIC studio Havana 1996. Featuring the conga virtuoso Miguel 'Anga' Diaz who passed away much too early. The tune (Arará Track) is a combination of Arará melodies in 6 related to Babalu Aye and a bassline in 9 with different melodies, solos etc. The vocalists were settled in the control booth. Funny to see me there during recording gesticulate, conduct, jump and communicate with my by then rudimentary Spanish. Features: Miguel 'Anga' Diaz (conga), Stefan Kruger (drums), Sjahin During (clavé), Jos Machtel (bass), Stefan Schmid (piano), Maarten Ornstein (clarinet), Mark Alban Lotz (alto flute), Alexis Zayas Rosabal, Jose Pilar Suarez, Frenla, Jorge Menocal (vocals).
