Andy Richards

I was brought up in Stourbridge on the edge of the West Midlands, between Birmingham and the green belt.
I've been playing and writing songs since I was first able to string a few chords together on the guitar. I listened to my parents' favourites as a kid; Simon & Garfunkel/ Paul Simon, The Beatles, The Beachboys and remember hearing my mum play and sing songs by Joni Mitchell and Carol King. Other artists like Jack Johnson, John Martyn and Ray Lamontagne have also had quite a big influence on my music.
Music has always been a big part of my life and I've played on my own quite a lot in loads of different places and I'm now lucky to have a couple of friends playing percussion and bass for me nowadays.
