Amos The Transparent

Although they claim to be transparent, Amos are anything but. They live between the light and the dark, sometimes in the shadows, occasionally in the dark, more often in the light. Their songs take them there. Quantum shifts between heavy and light, soft and hard, loud and quiet.
Much like the band itself the songs from their first two releases, the critically acclaimed "Everything I've Forgotten To Forget" and "My, What Big Teeth You Have." come alive when they are performed on stage. They have become more dynamic, more intense and the audience involvement in the live show has re-shaped many of their best known numbers.



On the newest record, "Goodnight, My Dear. I'm Falling Apart", Amos The Transparent explore a wide variety of musical textures and dynamics. Calling on the expertise of Gus van Go and Werner F for the final touches, the band took the tracks to the Boiler Room in NYC for some additional production and mixes. The album contains both upbeat indie pop tracks such as the first single, 'Sure as the Weather' as well as dark, more experimental tunes like 'Convince the Mayor' and as been dubbed the record that "truly captures their sound".



Since the release of "GMD.IFA" in February of 2012, Amos has been featured on Q with Jian Ghomeshi, who referred to them as "the Canadian Wilco", appeared as a feature act for the month of March in Cineplex's behind the music across Canada and have continued to receive a great deal of support from Canadian Alt Rock Stations and Sirius/XM.



Whether they are sharing a stage with Patrick Watson, the Reason or Zeus, or headlining a show in Australia or SXSW music festival in the United States Amos come alive when they perform.



With some recent additions, including keyboards and strings, Amos the Transparenent's live show has been able to capture the intricacies of their recording while delivering their high energy shows that they are known for.
