Amigo Imaginario

Amigo Imaginario, es un grupo formado por el guitarrista y bajista Mauricio Melo (ex integrante de Emociones Clandestinas, Santos Dumont y Planeta Gato, entre otras bandas) junto a la vocalista Olga Ostria, quienes tras una estadía de cinco años en México vuelven a mediados del año 2006 a Chile y en el mes de septiembre se unen a los músicos Daniel Henríquez (batería) y Luis Villagra (guitarra), provenientes de la banda Abril Primero. Amigo Imaginario cultiva un estilo cercano al rock pop con influencias de la música sicodélica sesentera y particularmente de bandas como Love, The Beatles, The Kinks, Os Mutantes, Soft Machine, Caravan, solistas como Donovan y Bob Dylan y algunos exponentes del punk rock como The Buzzcocks, Blondie y The Pretenders, entre otros. Actualmente preparan la edición de su primer disco No Vengo a Maldecir grabado en México a comienzos del 2006.



Amigo Imaginario is made up of guitarist and bassist Mauricio Melo (ex-member of Emociones Clandestinas, Santos Dumont, and Planeta Gato, among others), singer Olga Ostria, drummer Daniel Henríquez (ex-member of Radar, Yo Maté a Kenny, and Abril Primero), guitarist Luis Villagra (ex-member of Sol Naciente and Abril Primero). The project started during Melo and Ostria's 5 year stay in Mexico. Upon returning to Chile in 2006, the two got togther with Henríquez, and Villagra. In 2007, Arriagada joined the group. Amigo Imaginario has a pop rock sound, molded from 60s psychedelic rock, particularily bands like Love, The Beatles, The Kinks, Os Mutantes, Soft Machine, and Caravan, as well as singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan and Donavan. The band has also been influenced by punk acts like The Buzzcocks, Blondie, and The Pretenders. Currently, they are editing their first album, No Vengo a Maldecir, which was recorded in Mexico in the beginning of 2006.
