Formed in 2001 with roots in sleepy Swedish town Sandviken, Amandine played as 'Wichita Linemen' for 3 years. After line-up changes and relocation, Singer/Guitarrist Olof Gidlöf and pianist John Andersson were joined by a drummer and a bassplayer, both named Andreas. Sharing common musical ideas, the former side project took wings and the band moved south to Malmö, renamed themselves Amandine, and signed with British label Fatcat Records who released their debut LP "This Is Where Our Hearts Collide" in 2005. Touring followed in America and Europe, and the band spread their gospel combination of Swedish folk music and Americana for a couple of years, before adding violinist Kristina Lundin to the line-up and returning with the 2007 follow up "Solace in Sore Hands". Touring in Europe followed this release until summer of 2008, when the band decided to take a break. The new album, entitled "Amandine" was released March 1st, 2012
