BIO

Ever since R&B’s Sensation Chelsea’s first solo in the choir at Central Baptist Church at the age of six she knew she was destined to be something special. Chelsea’s Mother recalls that as a new born baby she stopped breathing and that when God gave life back to her, He gave her a “voice.”

Chelsea’s unique ability to bring beautiful r&b melodies over rough hip-hop beats has allowed her to stand out in a crowded field of singers. With the drop of her first single “I Like” feat Remy Ma, Chelsea is positive that it’s only a matter of time. “I Like” produced by Earl Gaynor whose credits include Nelly and the Lox is already being played in radio stations in Denver, Atlanta, and Minneapolis. It’s also getting a lot of buzz overseas in Dublin, Ireland. In the mean time, Chelsea has been blazing the stage opening for Carl Thomas, Eve, and Styles P just to name a few. Her first Mixtape, is scheduled to be released early this spring.

DreamGirl, The Mixtape will boost production from Earl Gaynor, Total Dynasty, and Cozmo whose credits include Scarface, Jim Jones, and E-40. You can also look out for Chelsea in the upcoming production of Dina Was a Musical by Oliver Goldstick that will be playing at the Shadow Theatre Company in Denver and scheduled to tour this summer.

As young girl Chelsea developed a buzz in Gospel circles around Denver. She received two awards from The Colorado Gospel Association for Most Promising Artist and Best New Artist. In Middle School, Chelsea received a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Perry Mansfield School of the Performing Arts in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. With the encouragement of her acting teacher, she auditioned for an August Wilson play, “Piano Lesson” at the Denver Center of the Performing Arts and was cast with the likes of Pam Grier. Her list of plays also include “ The Music Man,” “Fame,” “The Wiz,” “West Side Story,” and “Mama, I want to Sing.” All of which she was cast as a leading role. Chelsea’s active role in numerous events in Denver includes singing The National Anthem for both the Denver Nuggets Basketball and the Denver Broncos Football, Mayor Wellington E. Webb’s Inauguration, Gary Coleman’s AIDS Benefit, and Governor Roy Romero’s Annual Dinner.

In between working to establish her career Chelsea recently graduated from the University of Denver with a B.A in Political Science.

Incredible range, chilling vocal tone, and superior work effort are the fundamental keys to Chelsea’s success. On the horizon, Chelsea is scheduled to perform at several venues later this year in Denver, Los Angeles, and New York. Be on the lookout for Chelslove!!!!
