COMPOSER The style of Alvin Lloyd Masters is currently neo-classical and often described as lyrical minimalism. For the most part his work is for piano solo and consists of over 1000 compositions . All this music is completely notated in sheet music form . He is a trained musician and serious about creating good quality art and has spent his entire life improving and learning. My Space and computer technology made things possible that were unimaginable twenty years ago . PERSONAL MESSAGE TO VISITORS AND FRIENDS "I have over 20 years teaching experience and operate a small academy for piano . I teach all ages from very young through adult. My students learn how to play correctly with excellent technique and learn a great classical foundation. I teach all aspects of piano , sight reading theory, and appealing repertoire. The main thing I instill is a love and passion for music that lasts a lifetime. I offer awards, recitals and activities for all my students. Personally, I have successfully placed over 500 students in exams for the piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music's examination certification program. Participating students are required to play a classical repertoire of four to five songs according to the level, demonstrate scales, chords, etc, take an ear training test and also sight read. In the past international piano contest winners, Julliard graduates , etc. have given my students glowing reviews on their critiques. As a teacher at this time in my life I am second to none and even have helped students improve who have studied with prestigious world class musicians. As a teacher I am patient , kind , and able to help students who would never be able to play otherwise not only learn how to play correctly but actually gain a life long passion. My students have received scholarships and been successful music majors at leading universities. My students can play Bach , Chopin, Mozart , Beethoven , Brahms , etc. impressively and my younger students have been known to amaze. I have trained even first graders many times to play classical works played and composed by Mozart when he was a child . I use the materials and books that work the best and know what songs work for individual student needs . I have acquired this after many years experience. People seeking the best find me. Aggressive and vibrant , no sound processing . An artistic statement , a stand for artist rights and integrity. A statement on the world situation , politics, and the environment . _____________________________________________________________ 2009 Dreaming by the Sea , I feel is my most expressive and dynamically interesting recording yet . The songs give a surreal floating affect at times and I hope take the listener to another world. Ten tracks that are my first published works that I also recorded and engineered as well as composed and performed.
