For Al Nuke, life has been defined by the HUSTLE. Imagine being homeless at 13 living in cars and 24hr restaurants, or bathing in your friendís sink when their parents are at work.

Such was the tumultuous childhood of Curtis Franklin a/k/a Al Nuke. Growing up on the streets of Detroit, Al Nuke has proven that through determination, true perseverance, the impossible becomes possible. Al Nukeís accomplishments have proven that tenacity and talent are the key ingredients to achieving your dreams.

ìMusic has always been my therapy,î says Nukeî, ìFor me, the only thing that made me happy as a kid was RUN-DMC and LL COOL J, their music and videos.î

In 1997 Nuke found himself locked up facing 16 years for the attempted murder. While incarcerated God came to Nuke in a dream, and displayed to him all his faults and failures. At that moment Al Nuke made a promise to fully commit himself into his lifelong dream; Music.

In 1998, Al Nuke was exonerated of all charges and in 2001 released his 1st album titled ìLifestyles of the Rich & Infamousî selling over 10,000 units instantly. It was that point where Al Nuke never looked back to the streets.

Fast forward years later (5) independent albums selling over 100,000 units independent, 7 top singles in Detroit radio, and remixes like Jay Z ìExcuse Me Missî which captivated Jay Z single back up to 70 spins a week after being out for over 6 weeks, this catapulted Al Nuke to open up for artist such as Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and many more, Al Nuke has become a household name.

In 2006 Al Nuke release the self titled cd ìWhere Nuke Atî, selling over 15,000 units with personal favorites like ìTake it Thereî (featuring the late Proof of D12) and ìBaby Girlsî, a love letter to his daughters, and ìDo it Bigî features another great but slained rapper Blade Icewood.

Same year releasing the mix tape ìStars and Stripesî, which sold over 10,000 units underground, he continues with his grass root promotions, with hit singles such as ìDonít Play Me Like Datî and the underground songs like Cop from Me became instant hood classics.

Early on Al Nuke had gained a passion for the silver screen co-directing ìStreet Lifeî documentary. Al Nuke didnít stop there. In 2007 he wrote, directed, and starred in his first motion picture 17000 Block, which became the biggest selling indie movie of 2007 selling a whopping 300,000 units courtesy of Urban Works Pictures.

In 2009 Al Nuke begin bonding with another heavy weight in the industry Ms Carol Dorsey (owner of Chopper City Records), in which is now signed to Money Making Management. Ms Dorsey has the tenacity and knowledge to brush off this priceless diamond, and help create a Global artist like Al Nuke

His most recent collection titled ìSUPA NUKEî, demonstrates a new maturity in a long and rich career. Constantly able to recreate himself, Nuke has produced a work that will attract new listeners while keeping longtime fans satisfied. His personal favorites ìFreshen upî produced by Zaytoven takes hip-hop back to fun and catchy music, while songs like ìGOOGLE MEî is gaining spins in mixshow and internet radio, underground bangers like ìLIL BEYONCEî is becoming adult bar and ringtone classics.

Releasing mixtapes such as ìWelcome to the Whitehouseî, ìPrez Nukeî and latest ìSUPA NUKEî with Dj5150 in the South, Al Nuke continue his stride to the top. I have learned to have patience, stay humble, understand the business not the fame, my passion is not the money and fame, itís the Legacy I leave for my children.î

Another piece of his puzzle is Nuke At Night a state wide television show that Al Nuke produces hosts, and edits. Under his executive production, Nuke at Night is the 1 urban show in Michigan with over 500,000 viewers nightly, with new UK markets coming soon.

Al Nuke takes pride in working with the community, forming Operation Hip Hop, a non-profit organization that tours yearly through-out schools, encouraging teens to follow their dreams and be responsible for self and most importantly believe in GOD. He also works closely every year with FM 98 ìCoats 4 Kidsî and Hot 102.7 ìShoes for Shortiesî not only donating time, but also money. I came from those type of broken homes thatís why every year I make it my duty to have school supply drives and food drives for homeless shelters, these are things I take the incitive to do if nobody else does, says ìNukeî

Al Nuke will make it to the Top or he will die trying, the HIP HOP WORLD needs a REAL TESTIMONY, they need AL Nuke.
