LURE

" In today's day and age of hip hop, everyone tends to ask the question, who is the hottest female rapper? That question was answered on July 17th 1988 when Crystal Caines was introduced to the world. Crystal didn't have it hard growing up like a lot of other young kids did because she had a mother who provided for her but being the 2nd oldest in a family of 3, made it hard for her to express her thoughts and feelings. At the tender age of 12, Crystal would learn how to go about expressing herself and the way she did it would be through the art of rhyming. She knew that she had to start somewhere so she went out buying instrumentals, writing her own rhymes and recording herself using an old school tape recorder and yes I did say WRITING HER OWN RHYMES. She continued to grind and by the age of 16 she made it evident that music was something that she wanted to do, so with the support of her mom she began going to the recording studio. Crystal wanted to have a name that embodied both her personality and her skills as an lyricist, and with some thought the Queen of hip hop "Allure" was born!

Allure trying to make a name for herself began to do shows in clubs for people 21 and older, in order to network and build up a list of connects. Here is when she realized that this is a game where people can be very untrustworthy and was not able to deliver on what they speak about. As time went on her skills progressed quickly, and along with that she began to be more mindful about the industry and what situations to get herself into. So by the time 2005 came Allure was ready to make it happen and that was when she was introduced to Most Hated, the team who was led by the infamous battle rapper/recording artist Jae Millz. The Most Hated (MH) gang like the material they heard from Allure and from that point on they made Allure a part of their own. Allure got in the studio and went crazy, during that time she had recorded several freestyles with Wannablow artists but her name started to buzz when her and Millz collaborated on her hit song entitled



"Stay That B****"



. Though she was dealing with MH that didn't stop Allure from meeting and working with other people and before she knew it she was working with the Lox super producer Vinny Idol and his nephews, which formed a group titled "Alectric Mayhem". Allure had accomplished so much but still felt like she wasn't progressing, so going on her quest alone Allure parted ways with the MH crew in late 2006/early 2007, even though they parted ways Allure and Millz made sure there was no love lost and still have a great relationship!

Doing her own thing Allure began to record more and more at Vinny's studio. Working harder then ever, Allure was able to tap into a part of her that she never knew existed, and this would allow her to be more creative and comfortable with her music. With an new team and an all new game plan she felt it was time for a changed and became known simple as

. Lure continues to work at her craft and grind in the studio, she has almost everything she can ask for and now is just waiting for the time to introduce it to the world but until then people will get the first official taste of what Lure has to offer on her debut mixtape
