Ali Ghassemzadeh, also known as ALIWOOD, was born on July 4, 1984 in Tehran, Iran. Due to circumstances and the revolution that was residing in the country, Ali's parents fled to America with the hope of better opportunities for their children. Ali's parents sacrificed their lives working over 70 hours a week for the past 20 years to make this possible.
Growing up in a small 2 bedroom apartment in San Dimas, Ca, Ali had a drive to hustle and make money at a young age. Sharing a tiny bedroom with his older sister for 8 years motivated him to become a wise businessman with nothing but success on the back of his mind. At the age of 8, Ali had saved up almost $20 from selling some of his favorite toys to the neighborhood kids. He used that money to purchase an assortment of candy. In a matter of 3 weeks he sold all the candy making his first $100. The city ice cream man was furious because Ali had taken a majority of the neighborhood's business in that short period. He claimed that it was illegal to sell candy without a license and threatened to take action if Ali didn't stop selling. Although this was the last of the candy hustle, it was the beginning of the paper chase.
Slowly, Ali got caught up with all the hustling and made some bad decisions that were sending him down the wrong path. He got in trouble with the law and after a huge scare and a series of events, he finally realized the path he was headed towards and made an effort to get back on track. He decided to get rid of some of the bad influences around him and with the help of family and friends was fortunate enough to get back up on his feet and focus on his education.
Ali was accepted to Cal Poly Pomona University and just recently graduated with his Bachelor Degree in marketing with an emphasis on advertisement. While attending Cal Poly, Ali managed to produce 3 Bboy competitions with his partner, also a young entrepreneur and a member of Reckless Habits Crew, Jimmy Kaylor. They are well known in the Bboy community for throwing “ALL OUT.” The event quickly got corporate recognition and was aired on a nationally syndicated TV show called “Switched.” Currently the two young driven men are teaming up with some of Hollywood’s biggest names and working on their TV Show. Be on the look out.
Ali has opened up his second private recording studio. Recently he released his new single "Ya Girl's Eye" Ft. Glasses Malone of Ca$h Money Records. Ali is always on his grind whether he is writing/producing beats, recording at Devante (Jodeci) Swing’s studio, making radio commercials aired on Power106, recording with his artist known as AKTIV, or doing work for tons of LA artist, including Hip Hop’s legend KRS1. Music is his passion and he is pursuing his professional career in it. He just opened up the Kalle Kaliente Tour which headlined recording artist Pitbull. Be on the look out for his collaboration project with Joe Brown [Screamer] of A Static Lullaby. The boys [RHC] have put together an album which has caught the attention of major labels offering them their first 3 record deals. The album features some of the most talented artist in the game, and will be releasing sometime in 2010.
The young motivated entrepreneur says his dream is to give back a comfortable life to his parents who sacrificed so much for him and he has set many goals in his life to get there. He is determined, and knows nothing will hold him back.
