Alice Hicks is an anointed vessel appointed by God to furnish and demonstrate the Good News of Jesus Christ through dynamic singing and songwriting, authorship, prayer and intercession for others, manifestation of her dreams and visions, teaching the Gospel, and by demonstrating the heart of a worshipper. God uses Alice as a spiritual midwife by encouraging and helping others to give birth to His purpose for their lives and to walk in their destiny.

Through her ministry, people have come to know Christ as Lord and Savior. Unions have been formed and people have come to understand God’s direction for their lives. Alice's own life has challenged others to make meaningful changes in theirs.

Receiving accolades from music lovers around the country, gospel artist Alice Hicks’ new cd release Life In Hymn on Brio Records, is being heralded as one of the breakthrough contemporary gospel projects of 2007.

Life In Hymn is Alice’s testimony of her life in God expressed in lively contemporary hymns. With touching lyrics, moving musical expression and a fresh, unique sound, she delivers an album that perfectly blends her Christian sensibilities with a soothing and breathtaking experience. Listeners will hear what is closest to Alice’s heart and promises to inspire and motivate listeners to walk in God’s will for their lives.

Alice says her personal song favorites are Begin & End with Him because it demonstrates her ability to keep her music simple yet moving, grounded yet heavenly, and Call Him because it uniquely describes the many roles and names of Jesus in a tender, soft and reverent way.

Alice’s start as a singer began at age nine as member of the her church mass choir in Louisiana, and continued until she left to attend college. Alice continued singing at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, where she joined the COGIC Club Choir. One of Alice’s outstanding memories was her first public solo performance as a freshman in college. She entered a talent pageant and received a standing ovation and scholarship for singing God Can Change Things, Yes He Can. As a member of the choir, Alice was a lead soloist, and shared the platform with gospel artists such as Dorinda Clark-Cole, Shirley Caesar and Smokie Norful.

Alice relocated to St. Louis, MO and became active in the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church Choir where she served as member, director, and pianist. Alice also served as a Sunday school teacher, actor, playwright and producer, and gained additional acting experience by performing in For the Love of Sidney and Be Careful What You Pray For. Alice's performance was so critically acclaimed, that the director offered her the opportunity to join a national tour. Alice instead opted to stay in St. Louis to complete her Doctorate in Higher Education from St. Louis University.

She and her husband later relocated to Cincinnati, OH where they joined Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio. As a member of the Fire Choir and the Living Free Ministry for Women, she ministered with gospel artists CeCe Winans, Shirley Murdock and Kurt Carr, and in 2004, was a part of the Fire Choir’s Blaze and Church on Fire CD recordings.

Under the direction of Pastors Lawrence and Darlene Bishop, Alice learned the true meaning of worship and her faith and walk with Christ skyrocketed to another dimension. She learned that worship requires intimacy and obedience and her music illustrates her surrendered life to God. Through Alice’s relationship with God, she began to experience the supernatural power of dreams, visions and prophesies, consistently directing her to spread the gospel to the masses through music and word as a gospel artist and evangelist.

Alice responded by establishing Alice Hicks Ministries in 2005, the 360 Deliverance Conference in 2006 (a greatly attended and hugely successful national conference of healing, deliverance, and restoration in St. Louis, MO). The conference is designed to provide a forum for attendees to experience healing, deliverance, and restoration from hidden wounds of the past. Last year's conference in St. Louis featured Dr. Alice Hicks, Darlene Bishop, Dr. Yvonne Capehart, Brenda Todd and Ty Adams. It was a huge success, as mighty deliverances and awesome testimonies were manifested.

Alice is a member of the Gospel Music Association (GMA) and the Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy (SAGMA). She continues to be obedient to God, speading the gospel to the nations through music ministry. Her debut album Life in Hymn is available in stores near you.
