Alexis Grapsas

Alexis is a film composer/pianist, born in 1982 in Lefkada, Greece. Brought up in a musical family, he started playing piano and violin at an early age, and has also studied flute and guitar. Being surrounded by inspirational teachers and participating in numerous concerts, recitals and competitions, shaped his musical identity and helped him develop a unique voice.



After completing his classical training with Degrees in Piano and Composition, he felt the need to explore contemporary music to a deeper level, and started studying jazz piano as well as jazz harmony, arranging, and composition. After receiving several scholarships for Berklee College of Music, he moved to Boston in 2005, where he had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with some exceptional musicians from all over the world. Not only did he continue growing as a pianist, but he also expanded his orchestrational, arranging, and compositional skills.



Writing music for movies and visuals, was the ideal way for Alexis to combine his love for these two different forms of Art (Music and Film) and experiment without limitations in a variety of settings. In 2007 Alexis completed his degree program in Film Scoring (BA) and moved to Los Angeles, CA to continue his career as a composer for film, TV, and visual media.
