Alex O. Corchado Landrua also known as Alex Fatt was born and raised in Mayaguez/ Hormigueros, Puerto Rico in 1980.
Growing up life hasn't always been smooth-sailing for Alex. However, Alex always loved music. He can remember playing congas at the age of 3. Alex would say "it's
in my blood".
He was raised by a single mother, his aunts, and the poor streets of Puerto Rico. Without a father Alex had to mature fast. Taking on responsibility for himself,
Alex had earned his respect in the streets at an early age.
At age 11, Alex started to cut hair in his mother's balcony to make money. Learning to cut hair came easy to Alex as did his music. He felt that the reality of his
life should be channeled through his music. Alex was inspired by early rappers like Vico C, Ruben DJ and Wutang (just to name a few) but after Tempo went to jail and
Tupac died, Alex knew there needed to be another voice for the streets "the truth needs to be heard".
At the age of 16, Alex's mother decided to send him to his aunt's house in Worcester, MA, due to Alex dropping out of school and going down the wrong path. When Alex
arrived in Worcester he got a job at a fast food restaurant but that didn't last long. Alex returned to cutting hair and the street life. Before he knew it Alex was
facing incarceration due to possession of a firearm. When Alex was released from jail in 2001, he decided to focus his attention on his music career and to make money
the legit way so everything her earned he could keep without consequences.
Alex Fatt began working on his first mix tape called "El Snyper" which sold 300 copies in 2001. Alex went on to release multiple mix tapes such as, "Wartown's Finest"
which sold 5,000 copies, "Reggaeton's Most Wanted" sold 7,200 copies which earned Alex his first Gold Street Award for Best Latin Artist from the Massachusetts
Independent Music Awards. Next Alex released "Ready 4 Whateva Volume 1 & 2" selling 2,500 copies due to Alex being incarcerated again for possession of a firearm.
Because of this setback this was his last mix tape that was released right before he went in to serve his 3 year sentence, which didn't sell as much. Upon release,
Alex went on to release "The Fatt Nigga U Love 2 Hate" selling 10,000 copies CD and DVD, and his latest mix tape "La Pesadilla" selling 17,560 (and still selling).
All of the mix tapes that Alex made were sold independently and through downloads.
Hip-Hop is not only about the stories, but also about making them interesting and as convincing as the teller. That's why despite being blackballed by the industry and
without a major-label recording contract, heads still gravitated to the realism of his words. Alex Fatt is considered by many listeners as one of the best Latino Hip
Hop Artist in the underground world. Not only is he seen as a great truth-teller, which earned him a lot of haters because the truth hurts, but he is also respected
for starting his own underground rap movement .He's an incredibly intelligent hustler who focuses on the reality of his world and his people.
Alex Fatt has started his own record company called "WARecords", which stands for Wartown Warriors (Guerreros de la Cuidad de Guerra)". Alex is also involved with
many other projects as well. Alex owns his own barbershop called "Fatt Cuts Reloaded", in which he built his own music studio in back. Alex is also involved with
developing artists, promoting club parties and he has combined forces with well known artists such as, Voltio, Blanco (R.I.P), MC Ceja, DJ ShotGun, Temperamento, Doble
A, DJ Dicky, DJ Rafy Mecenario, Javi OD and many more. Alex has performed in the famous Calle 8 held every year in Miami Florida. This young entrepreneur has
traveled the world and shared the stages with many artists.
Alex Fatt's goal is to be known as a messenger of the streets, he says "I do this for the love of expressing the truth, but everyone can't handle the truth and for
that reason I have plenty of haters". His mission is to open eyes and clarify what is real from illusion, he says "it's not to glorify myself but it's to paint a
vivid picture so that I can be accepted for who I am the speaker of truth".

Creciendo, la vida no siempre fue muy fácil para Alex.
Sin embargo, Alex siempre amó la música.El puede recordar cuando tocaba las congas a los 3 años. Alex diría "está en mi sangre".
El fue criado por una madre soltera, sus tías,y las calles pobres de Puerto Rico. Sin un padre Alex tuvo que madurar rápido.
Tomando su propia responsabilidad, Alex ganó el respeto en las calles desde una temprana edad.
A los 11, Alex comenzó a cortar pelo en el balcón de su madre para ganar dinero. Aprendiendo a cortar pelo fue fácil para Alex así como su música.
EL sintió que la realidad de su vida debería ser canalizada a través de su música. Alex fue inspirado por raperos como Vico C, Rubén DJ y Wu-tang (nombrando unos
pocos) pero después de que Tempo fue encarcelado y Tupac murió, Alex sabía que tenia que haber otra voz para las calles "la verdad necesita ser escuchada".
A los 16 años, la madre de Alex decidió mandarlo a la casa de su tía en Worcester, MA, debido a que Alex se salio de la escuela y estaba llendo por un mal camino.
Cuando Alex llegó a Worcester consiguió un trabajo en un restaurante de comidas rápidas pero eso no duro mucho así que continúo cortando pelo y en la vida de la
calle.
En un abrir y cerrar de ojos Alex estaba enfrentando al encarcelamiento debido a la posesión de armas.
Cuando Alex fue liberado de prisión en el 2001, decido enfocarse en su carrera musical y hacer dinero en una forma legal y así se podía quedar con todo lo que el
ganaba sin consecuencias.
Alex Fatt empezó a trabajar en su primer mixtape llamado "el Snyper" que vendio 300 copias en el 2001. Alex continuo sacando varios mix tapes como: "wartown's Finest"

malinterpretado por la industria y sin un contrato de grabación discográfica multinacional, las cabezas todavía gravitaron hacia el realismo de sus palabras.Alex Fatt
