BIOGRAPHY:
Alec Teacher's interest in music began at the age of 7, when he started playing classical piano in his hometown
of Darmstadt/Frankfurt. At the age of 13, he began listening to Funk-, Soul- and Hip-Hop-Music influencing him
for years to come. A few years later, he began using music software and mixing samples from old soul-, funk- and
piano-records, producing smooth old-school beats.
After being intensely involved in the local Hip-Hop-scene for a few years
and getting tired of its growing intolerance, he turned his attention towards Electronic Music. He did this while
searching for positive vibes and also as a result of his rough past in the graffiti-scene in which he collected a
lot of urban inspiration in the environment of the social cold. Pushing for an up-beat energetic resonance by the
public, Electronic Music was what his heart and soul was yearning for.
In the beginning of his new musical orientation, Progressive-House and the whole Mainstream-Movement were the
genres that he mostly followed. Influenced by the music being played in Frankfurt's best clubs, like
„RobertJohnson“ , he started to fall in love with the individual Rhein-Main-Sound and began to work on first
electronic arrangements.
In 2006 he decided to start his course in a new direction and moved to Berlin, capitalcity in Electronic Music.
He collected a lot of acoustic experiences during his first months in the Berlin Club-Scene and implemented them
in his productions. His style began to drift, changing in some cases from a massive and rough feeling to
intelligent Deephouse-Tracks without loosing his touch with rich melody.
It didn't take long before his talent was noticed in Berlin, and was asked to take part in „The-Mole-People“-
partycrew where he played in “103” club, the "Relais" and “Festsaal-Kreuzberg”, three very well known clubs in
the underground electronic scene. From his first gig, he was a great success amongst the public, with his never-
ending energy behind the decks and his ability to transmit this energy to his public. He has played with and
next to Dj’s the likes of John Roberts (DIALrec.N.Y.), Pan-Pot (mobille-rec. Berlin), René Breitbarth and Miss
Jools (mobilee-rec.Berlin).
After a time he regularly returned to Frankfurt on weekends to bring his collected abilities behind the decks to
the crowd on the local well known VODKA&WASSER-Events, on which he always pushed the dancefloor-atmosphere 100%ly
to the limit.
All that made him unforgotten and nowadays Alec Teacher is known through Berlin's electronic music scene as a
perfect representation of solid, melodic & upbeat-sounds, making crowds dance the night away with his tasteful
and skilful sets.
