Based in Leeds, UK, Ajanta are a four piece Alternative rock band that became active with the release of their first single in 2005.



An experienced live band, Ajanta have supported groups such as Captain Beefheart’s magic band, and John Lee Hookers Groundhogs.



The music is hard to pinhole, and has been described as ‘EUROPEAN ELECTRIC BLUES’ due to its eclectic sound forming from rock, blues, and roots music.



In 2010 Ajanta released the ‘Moonshine’ EP. This was a 3 track EP that was released independently, with singles and an album to follow.



The main force behind Ajanta is the music, they play in many cities across the UK, and are continuing to produce an individual sound.
