BIOGRAPHY

UPBRINGING:

Aisha Ronaye was born August 13th in the 1980's. Her mother's only child,(until years later) Aisha made her first song at the tender age of two. Although her interest for music would come later down the line, Aisha always had a natural ear for music. She had a rough beginning growing up on Chicago's Southside where she was almost shot on more than one ocassion. Her father was absent in her life, so Aisha grew up watching her mother be a strong woman. At the age of ten years old her mother moved her out of Chicago's harsh streets to the South Suburbs. Here Aisha was able to see outside of the box. While in elementary school Aisha met with her partner in crime, and they would later form their first rap group. At first being too shy to spit, she would only write her lyrics down and have others read them. However, Aisha was not convinced this was her calling, because she was becoming quite the talent in sports. She was always able to play any school sport, and quite often found herself the only girl to make the cut. This instilled strength, courage, and fearlessness inside of her that would later become the very assets she would need to take on the tough music industry.

When Aisha Ronaye' reached highschool, she started freestyling at the passing periods. She often got into trouble because she would always look to defy the odds. If a teacher or student told her she could not do something, she would do it. Once in college, Aisha found her first studio and performed her first show as ''Lyrica". She was known as ''Lyrica'' before deciding to change her name to Aisha Ronaye' which is her birth given name. After making the very hard decision of leaving college to pursue her dream, she quickly went to work on building her career.

CAREER:

Aisha Ronaye' opened up for R&B singer Tank at club E2 before it burned down. Her songs were selected to be in the Chicago based movie "A Get2gether''. A couple years later her song ''Da One'' made it on 92.3, where it was voted top song of all 2005 along with R.KELLY,KANYE WEST,and CRUCIAL CONFLICT.That same year (2005) Aisha put together her first mixtape,(GIMME MORE MIXTAPE VOL.1) commentary and all. Aisha has had many managers, and offers for signing contracts with independent labels. Some of them were not knowledgeable of the industry, which drove Ms. Ronaye' to study books and eventually start her own label SKYHIGH ENTERTAINMENT. She made this label not to sign other talent, but solely to BRAND AISHA RONAYE'. Her motto is "Never limit yourself because of other's limited expectations". Though it is a heavy task, Aisha has pretty much been making it happen without the support of a ''crew'' or ''team''. She has no manager, or anyone behind her.

In 2006, Aisha Ronaye' was featured on DJ SEAN MAC's Miami Heat Mixtape. Her song "KRAZY" off her sophomore mixtape was played on 92.3. She independently sold more than 2000 copies of her GIMME MORE MIXTAPE VOL. 2 in that same year. In 2007, she was blessed to work alongside GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ENGINEER Phil Bonanno. He mixed three of her songs, including a pop remake she did of the legendary classic "ROCK THE BOAT". The song, tentatively titled "ROCK YA BODY" played all summer long on a college radio station Power 92.9. The song was a favorite amongst the crossover audience of NORMAL, IL. It received many requests. Aisha Ronaye was devasted at the passing of Phil Bonanno and has made it her duty to carry on his legacy.

In 2008, Aisha Ronaye's latest single was featured on DJ SEAN MAC's mixtape, SOLD OUT VOL.10,which is hosted by Rick Ross. In October Aisha Ronaye's new song "YOU MAKE ME SAY" was played on 107.5 WGCI and made it to NUMBER ONE on the Go Ill Radio segment. She is also making quite a buzz in Japan as well. She collaborated with THE HOTTWINS from Japan who Produced her singles "GET BUZY" AND "SHOE GAME MEAN". This Hip Hop entreprenuer has gotten love from some of the music industry's elite artist. With two mixtapes under her belt, 4 songs played on major radio stations, countless shows, Aisha Ronaye' feels like she's had many great accomplishments independently. She has never been one dimensional, dipping her hands in everything from video editing, singing, poetry shows, and co-production; She definitely will be an ASSET to any record label. Though she prides herself in SONGWRITING, she also knows that she will become a major player in the ACTING game as well.
