Agonist - Formed in the summer of 2003. Full-bodied metal for the masses. Who cares what we sound like, our influences have played key roles in how our style may be interpretted. Melodic, progressive death metal.sure, whatever, it's metal. Bang your heads. We love what we do and that's what we care about.



NEWS - 02/11/11 - Well holy shit, it looks like we forgot to update for 4 years. My bad. After a long hiatus, Agonist is active again. We can't wait to get back into the local metal scene, but before we can do that, we need some help finding a vocalist. I've taking the liberty of replacing our tracks with instrumental versions. If you can picture your voice fitting our music, get in touch!



NEWS - 05/09/07 - So yeah, whatsup? Looks like we have our first show lined up for this summer with the new lineup. Whether we'll be completely ready or not.that's another question, but hey, it'll be a good time regardless. We'll get some more info as it comes to us.but for now check out Rock the Arts for whatever your little heart desires. There's a hefty lineup of bands, some metal, some hardcore, punk, whatever, has a bunch of styles for everyone but should be a fun all day show. Hopefully a lot of people can make it out. It's in the middle of nowhere, which could be more of a fuckin good time, but we'll see. We'll have some more updates soon.promise. Gettin back on our feet is the first step. We DO have a new song in the writing as well as new vocals compliments of Don for some old songs, plus another cover which we'll play here and there if we so please.aight, go away.



NEWS - 03/21/07 - Update. as it turns out, Agonist has found a new vocalist. We'd all like to welcome an awesome talent, Don (of Umbra Within) to the band. That being said, we'll SOON be out and searching for shows. We'll also be posting a "sample track" showcasing some of Don's vocal work over one of our old songs momentarily. Please feel free to comment and provide feedback. It would also appear that we'll be continuing to work on and shortly completing a demo containing our current line up, so stick around!



NEWS - 07/11/06 - Partial update.we'll be coming to a slight stand-still. Erin will be leaving the band due to some important priorities and we wish him the best and definitely thank him for helpin us achieve such brutal vocals. We'll be searching for a new vocalist, so any leads.let us know. Otherwise something will be figured out soon so that we can continue to schedule shows. Check back soon for more.sorry for the lack of updates.
NEWS - 05/13/06 - Never actually said much about the songs above, but we'll be workin on some things to have them to our liking for a possible demo to hand out at shows this summer. Speaking of shows, we need to set some up, so get ahold of us fuckers, or we'll start huntin people down for June dates and onward. MAY 28TH is confirmed now, we'll be playing 6th out of the 9 bands scheduled, check championshippa.com for a complete list of bands ( most not metal or much of the same style, but it'll be a show nonetheless ). Hope to see a lot of faces out there.NEWS - 04/27/06 - So we updated "Soulless Sole Survivor" today, could call it a remastering, it definitely sounds better. We're going to be recording our demo this summer which will bring a much more satisfying sound quality, hopefully to please the masses. The MAY 13TH show at Championship got cancelled, so our only show this coming month will be the MAY 28TH one. NEWS - 04/16/06 - Thanks to everyone who showed up at The Wheelie Bar last night.if you didn't stick around you missed out on a crazy show. Huge thanks to Ritual Misery for setting us up with a slot, SinAria, Century, First Begotten.you guys all fuckin kicked ass, we had a blast.We also have a few updates as far as shows go, which will also be posted on our website and here. MAY 13th & MAY 28th we're going to be at the Championship for 2 all ages shows, so get your asses out there. More details will follow. Again, we appreciate all of you who made it out to support the talent that was around last night. Intense.
