Jook - "Everything I Do" - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 14, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Jook basically existed from 1971 to 1974, but this song wasn't released until 1978, with three other unreleased songs, including their classic "Aggravation Place," on an EP on Chiswick Records. But I noticed that this personal fave wasn't on You Tube so I decided to post it myself. Man, these guys should have been huge. As far as early 70's UK Bootboy Glam, they were at least as good as Slade, if not better. The lineup of Jook consisted of Chris Townson(from Marc Bolan's awesome pre-TRex 60s mod/psych band John's Children) on drums, lead singer/rhythm guitarist Ian "Ralf" Kimmet(from Jedburgh, Scotland), lead guitarist Trevor White and bassist Ian Hampton(from Edinburgh, Scotland). The Bay City Rollers even blatantly stole the tartan uniform look that Jook were known to wear. Trevor White and Ian Hampton briefly joined Sparks and played on their albums "Propaganda"(1974) and "Indiscreet"(1975).
