Adrian Sieber is one of the most successful songwriters in Switzerland. The national music scene is unimaginable without the singer and founding member of the Lovebugs. To date, the Lovebugs have released 10 albums and given more than 1'000 concerts all over Europe, the USA and Asia. In addition, Sieber released his debut solo-album in 2008, a self-produced record on which he also played all the instruments.

His keen sense of intelligent pop-songs with heartfelt lyrics has shaped the Swiss music scene and made the charismatic singer a permanent guest in the charts, untouched by fast moving hypes and trends. Two of the most popular releases by the Lovebugs are the song 'Avalon', a duet with the Norwegian singer Lene Marlin (from the platinum-selling album 'In Every Waking Moment'), and the acoustic album 'Naked', which was recorded live at the Theater Basel.

For the very first time, Adrian Sieber has composed music for a motion picture. The Swiss production 'Stationspiraten' was directed by Michael Schaerer and produced by the people behind 'Achtung, Fertig, Charlie!' and 'Breakout'. 'Stationspiraten' is the unusual story of five adolescent boys whose lives intertwine in the cancer ward of a hospital. Four of them have cancer, one still awaits his diagnosis. The five 'pirates of the ward' ('Stationspiraten') support each other and together they cope with facing their uncertain future. As a group, they conquer life.

"I'm truly happy with the music of 'Stationspiraten'. It succeeds in leading emotionally without being obtrusive. It’s intimate but not sentimental. Adrian Sieber's songs coin the perception of the story and keep its formal structure grounded. I’m thankful that I was able to lay the musical composition into such sensitive and passionate hands.“ (Michael Schaerer)

"The songs for 'Stationspiraten' are the first I've ever specifically written for a motion picture. The close co-operation with director Michael Schaerer opened up completely new possibilities of composing and enabled me to delve into a world that I hadn’t known before. It was a huge challenge to meet the mood of a film-scene with a specific song, or, in the best case, to even intensify its atmosphere. I’m very proud to be a part of 'Stationspiraten' with my voice and my songs.“ (Adrian Sieber)

The motion picture soundtrack of 'Stationspiraten' is released on October 28, 2010, a week before the cinematic release of the Swiss feature film on November 4, 2010.
