With three years passed since their „Unbelievable“ debut, Admirabilis are finally back. „Above & Beyond“ proves the Goth Rockers have matured in all aspects.

The lyrics deal with the all-too-human doubts and fears: of rigorous conventionalism, failure, seclusion and isolation. As usual, Steffi’s and Anh’s voices play with their contradicting hard rock and classical intonations - only to melt unexpectedly into an outbreak of feelings. Wider ranging than ever before they take the listener on an emotional journey through hard metal riffs and melodies in the tradition of celtic ballades. And yet the core of their sound is always characterized by a rocking backline and electronic wave elements.



BiographyAdmirabilis was created in 2003 as a project born out of love for Metal and Wave. With Mike composing and producing and Steffi and Anh sharing the lead vocals they wrote the first tunes for their debut „Unbelievable“, which went on to become very successful - especially online. Adding Patrick on bass and Aaron on drums the project evolved into a liveband able to capture their audiences with musical abilities and sperical stage shows.

When Aaron left to complete his drum studies in the Netherlands, Dominik joined the band. During the following months, Admirabilis have been playing as many shows as possible, thus developing an intoxicating performance with Anh and Steffi drawing in the crowd. Gigs with bands such as Xandria, Lacrimas Profundere and Subway to Sally followed.

The five also recorded a video released in November 2006 (to be found here on MySpace) before Dominik left to emigrate as well.

Thus Aaron was asked to help out once again with the second album „Above & Beyond“, out now.

Drei Jahre nach ihrem Debüt „Unbelievable“ melden Admirabilis sich zurück. Mit „Above & Beyond“ präsentieren sich die Goth-Rocker deutlich gereift in allen Aspekten.

Die Texte kreisen um Zweifel an Althergebrachtem, der Angst vor dem Versagen, vor dem Alleinsein. Steffis und Anhs Stimmen führen den gewohnten Gegensatz zwischen Rockröhre und klassischem Gesang weiter, loten diesen aus um dann an anderen Stellen beinahe miteinander zu verschmelzen. Facettenreicher als jemals zuvor schicken sie den Hörer auf eine emotionale Reise durch die Gefühlswelt. Getragen wird der Sound dabei von vielfältigen Klanglandschaften, die mal an sphärische keltische Balladen erinnern, mal bretthart nach vorne gehen, immer unterstützt von groovendem Schlagzeug und elektronischen Elementen, die sich mit Rock und Metal die Waage halten.



Biographie

Aus einer Liebe zu Wave und Metal wurden Admirabilis 2003 als Projekt geboren. Mit Mike als Komponist und Produzent und Steffi und Anh als Leadsängerinnen entstanden die ersten Songs des Debüt-Albums „Unbelievable“, die besonders online sofort großen Erfolg verzeichnen konnten.

Schließlich ging man mit Patrick am Bass und Aaron am Schlagzeug daran, aus einem Studioprojekt eine Liveband zu formen, die ihr Publikum mit musikalischem Handwerk und atmosphärischer Show begeisterten.

Nachdem Aaron zum Schlagzeugstudium in die Niederlande ging, ergänzte Dominik die Band. Es folgten Auftritte mit Bands wie Subway to Sally, Xandria oder Lacrimas Profundere, bis es auch Dominik ins Ausland zog.

Für die Studioarbeit am zweiten Album wurde Aaron ein weiteres Mal verpflichtet und unterstützt den deutlich gereiften Sound des aktuellen Albums „Above & Beyond“.
