The Fly Magazine Review

A.D. Chandler:

Some Days Are Better Than None

4 out of 5 Stars

"This record contains solid, slick and

largely authentic-sounding folk, blues

and music from other singer-songwriter

genres.The songs are simple and

mature, and are fleshed out masterfully

with diverse instrumentation. Melodies

recall those of Randy Newman and Leon

Redbone. Chandler's voice is naturally

smooth, but he often employs a forced

rasp that I could do without. It sounds

here and there as if he really wishes he

had some of Tom Waits' magic.

Chandler doesn't need it. This is good

stuff. Also, he wins the best album title

and artwork of the year thus far." ~ Dugan Nash
