Adam Hill

I was born in Roanoke, Virginia. Being raised by a musician, music has been in my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, I sang in church and in competitions. Eventually I became the drummer for the church band. Once I got into high school I joined the drumline and jazz band. During my tenure in the church and school music programs I won numerous awards. I started playing piano and writing around the age of 15. I started playing professionally right out of high school. In 2004 I got my first solid gig playing drums with the country/rock act, Keith Bryant and Iron Horse. I played with them for a little over 4 years. During that time I gained great experience and learned a lot. In May of 2008 I started jamming with my brother and some friends. After a few months we realized that we had something special. In order for me to take this project where I want it to be, I had to drop the country/rock gig. I am happy to be writing/playing music I really care about. I am happy to now be pursuing a career as a singer/piano player. Be on the look out for "The Materia Project." We will be taking over the Roanoke music scene soon.
