"Ego Maniac " is the second underground release from Acie High. He gained critical acclaim with Texas underground giant Swishahouse as part of the rap duo Aqualeo. The song “Sip and Get High” featured Aqualeo on Paul Wall’s platinum selling record “The Peoples Champ”. The road to stardom actually began when High competed against 12 wanna-be romeos on UPN's 2004 reality series 'The Player”. After all votes were tallied, 2 million viewers watched as Acie gained ultimate player status and snagged the crown as the real Casanova.

Matthew Knowles took special interest in Acie High and taught him the importance of preparation and repetition needed to achieve success. High became a prize student of Knowles and was eventually tapped to make an appearance on 'Chancers', a hugely successful reality television series based in the United Kingdom. Similar to MTV's 'Making the Band', contestants competed to secure a record deal. As a mentor to the contestants, Acie shared his experiences in the music industry and explained the differences between the perceived “lights, camera, action” lifestyles of entertainers and the actual hard work it takes to achieve success.

Acie has the lyrical capacity of the greatest in Hip Hop, however, he also provides the creativity needed to entice today’s Hip Hop listeners. He readily embraces the concept of romance and radiates a magnetic energy appealing to the opposite sex, while his regal persona and innovative style enables him to connect with male consumers. This time “Ego Maniac” focuses on the egotistical experiences he’s had and observed in others. The album includes collaborations with Hip Hop veteran, Biz Markie, who makes an appearance on the “Tryna Do Me remix”, and Anzeo from “MTV’s Making the Band IV”, who appears on “Leave”.

Acie’s first mix tape release, "Star Wars", created a huge local buzz and “Ego Maniac” is sure to make Acie High a nationwide household name.
