Abrupt's first compilation YOU'RE NOT ME (an amateurly recorded, home-pressed CD) sold several hundred copies in a handfull of local towns and cities and earned the band two radio interviews, one including an acoustic performance of "Daughter", "Left You Lying", & "You're Not Me". Three of the CD's six songs studio versions also received airplay at three different radio stations ("Please Save Me", "Alone", & "Daughter").  Now, three years later, the guys have finished a new CD with plans to greatly surpass the success of their first EP.

In 2006, the band recorded three new songs: "Go Wrong", "Tearing Up Their Lives", and "Point To Prove".  They are easily some of the bands best work and pave a darker, yet more melodic path for their music.  With heavier guitars and more personal lyrics than ever, these songs became instant favorites of Abrupt's fans and have grasped the attention of a much wider audience.  Although the songs are a bit different from YOU'RE NOT ME, evidence of evolution still remains.

In October of 2007, Abrupt recorded their album POINT TO PROVE at Leap Studios. The record consisted of new recordings of their three songs of 2006 ("Go Wrong", "Tearing Up Their Lives", & "Point to Prove"), along with five previously unreleased songs. The album helped bring Abrupt to share stages with the likes of Flyleaf and Motley Crue's Vince Neil, and remains available for download and online purchase.

Abrupt played their farewell show on November 9th, 2008. This page will remain to continue to spread their music to new listeners, as well as celebrate the bands history with its friends and fans.
